Jack relates: "It was a windy overcast early morning. On entering the grounds, I was immediately affected emotionally by the cupola and roof against the contrasted light trying to poke through the storm clouds, and somewhat being married to the duck pond reflection and figures.
"I don't try to paint things or calender paintings but aim to convey atmosphere and a felt emotion. "
